UD; Well.. It is done and over with.. I ordered the parts today.
I got the amd64 dual core 4200 on sale from Ewiz, the k8tne02 mainboard and an arctic cooling freezer 64. I liked the freezer because it had a really high service life, 137,000 hrs as I recall. Most fans only have 50,000 hrs, and I have had to many fans howl over the years.
I really wanted the opteron 185 but could not afford the extra $100 at this time.
Now I only have one last worry... will all this be actually faster then my old xp2500.

I found some behcmarks where people have a amd64 3800 a very similar video card as I, and get around 20,000 3dmark. I only get 12,000 so... I am hoping for good things!

the arctic 64 are like by all. i have one on the neo-4 but running it 24/7 3080mhz folding i have modded a 90mm thermaltake fan on it.
your all set to go.

UD: No I have not died and gone to heaven 
The new mainboard and cpu are working great! It was everything I had hoped for. Thank you so much for your assistance.
I had a horrific time with transfering my old harddrive to the new one. I was using powerquest drive image and it was not doing a perfect clone for whatever reason, then in the process, my business computer harddrive failed, so I had two dead in the water computers to deal with. THAN, wouldnt you know it an electrical storm hit and fried alot of equipment around my house. ANYHOW things are back to normal, and I am very happy with this new CPU.
I will be getting 2 gig of ram here sometime, as soon as I can find what overclocks well, yet doesnt cost me an arm and a leg.
Thank you again, I sure appreciate all of the help.

i have times when things keep going down the tube. you just have to take a deep breath and move forward.
pratice with your new rig oc'n. lower the ram with the divider and find the max htt of the cpu. then later you can decide what ram will be good.
