I wasn't flashing at the time, just moving some wires around. At one point I loosened the wires to the CPU fan and of course nguru started immediately given me the alrm upon power up. Immediately shutdown BUT just when the system was posting.
Now the system wont post, the nguru code is showing its sending the info to the award bios (99). I have tried different cpus and vid cards. Tried 1 stick of ram, etc.
98% sure the bios is corrupted. I have gone and ordered a new one, but the gentleman cant get it to me till near the end of next week (there goes the Team Fortress 2 beta I paid for ).
I'm going to as a last resort tonight since I cannot find any place local to flash a bios, to do the frontless autoexec flashing via a floppy. However, this is assuming the bootblock is not corrupt.
So I guess my two following q's are.
1. Does it sound like a corrupt bios to you? I even removed the bios rom, just to see, and the system stopped at the same place (sending/waiting for award).
2. Would I still get the post beep if the bootblock was ok? I somewhat hope not as per then I cannot flash it.
Thanks
(I hope this is not a common question as I did try to search before hand without a exact result to my predicament).

When you say hotflash, you mean boot up that other system with its bios, pop it out while its on, and plug in your own then flash without damaging either chip?
I'm borrowing one that has SIS chipset. I don't know of anyone with a nforce chipset. (All Macs or laptops in my house).
