HP A6885l - Foxconn MCP73 - XP driver needed - Please Help

Hello All,

I bought a HP computer here in Thailand, Model is A6685l, which is A6600f in US but with new Q8200 CPU.

I am having difficulty in getting the SMbus and Ethernet working on XP, I mean, the Device Manager was not even able to find the Ethernet chipset (or MCP73 Lan Function ).

I have tried to update on nVidia's website, but NVIDIA smart scan tells me my motherboard is not nForce motherboard.

Please kindly help me out, I am running out of option here. Is it an Hardware defect or just MCP73 will not let us use LAN at all.

Your mainboard has an nForce 630i /GeForce 7100 chipset.

Since HP doesn't offer any XP drivers for this computer, you should take either NVIDIA's official nForce driverpack 16.08 (look here) or Fernandos actual 32bit NF4-7 Performance Pack.
