Does Asus A7x8x-x support 5.1 surround

I am thinking of buying the following:

But I am not sure if the onboard sound has support for surround 5.1?

I would mostly use it for watching XVID movies with AC3 or the latest 720p HDTV or 5.1 DVDs.
Will it work? And if it does is the sound quality OK?

ps.I heard nothing but good things about SOUNDSTORM but I am not sure if my mobo has one since it is not a DELUXE.

My specs:
Athlon 2600+
1024MB RAM
ASUS A7n8x-x
