For what it's worth, I've been using squall_leonhart69r's 11.15 remix. I extract the contents of the package and delete all of the driver folders that I don't want. Essentially, I leave only the SMBUS driver, the Audio driver (delete the mixer folder), and I also leave the Ethernet driver. Because loading the Soundstorm drivers from Windows Update inevitably gives me a blue screen, I boot to safe mode, then run the installer of the remix package. Again, I've only tested the audio driver, the ethernet driver, and the SMBus driver, and I should note that I run UAC off, so not sure what the outcome may be otherwise. With UAC off and in safe mode, the driver package installs without a single issue. I prefer the Ethernet driver in the remix package over the Vista default driver, as if you right click the device's properties tab in the device manager, you'll find that it gives you some of the options that are not available with the Vista driver, such as Optimize for CPU or Throughput.
Please...if you do decide to do this, understand that you're doing so at your own peril. (as though you didn't know that...but you never can tell
