I recently upgraded my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (socket 939) from an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ proc to a 4000+ proc. Everything is working fine but once I swapped out the processor, my primary audio channel no longer works.
I have a 6 speaker surround sound (which uses the black, orange, and green audio plugs). The other channels work, but my primary green channel no longer works.
Did it get fried or is there something I can do to fix it? |

try reinstalling the audio drivers. who knows.

have you tried plugging other speakers in the green line out?
did you remove any jumpers on the board's front connectors?
did you remove the board? could anything in that area got bumped?

Sorry for the long time inbetween replys, but I thought Id share if anyone else is having the same problem.
Apparently the issue was with IRQ conflicts. I tried a few PCI slots and finally it just worked. /shrug |
