Venejo just detected new unofficial nForce chipset driver packs v19.04 for Vista x86 and Windows XP at Station-Drivers, which seem to be very interesting.
This is what he wrote:

There is a new unofficial Pack 19.04 at station-drivers.com for MCP79 chipsets.
It contains:
Ethernet Driver (v67.81)
SataIDE Driver (v10.3.0.27)
RAID Driver (v10.3.0.27)
RAIDTOOL (v10.3.0.27)
SMBus (v4.64)
SMU (v1.50)
Audio Driver (v1.00.0.26)
Installer (v5.93)
There are Sata_IDE and RAID folders and the IDE inf date is 4/11/2008.
It supports many other mobos from what i see but i'm not sure what others.
download here -> http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nvidia%20nforce%20c79.htm
Update: On my M2N-E (570Ultra) i had to manually force the update for these drivers since they are NOT digitally Singed at all. The are no .cat files included. |
The new nForce driverpacks 19.04 seem to be very useful for all users with an NF4-7 chipset mainboard.
If they don't show any severe issues, they probably will be officially published by NVIDIA in the near future.
Interesting details:
1. Although they obviously were mainly designed for MCP79 chipsets, the included nForce IDE drivers v10.3.0.27 contain the HardwareID's of all currently available NF4-7 series chipsets (including those, who were missing within NVIDIA's official 15.17/15.18 packs).
2. The Vista 32bit drivers seem to be completely WHQL certified (except the SMBus "drivers").
3. The 19.04 packages contain new nForce IDE (v10.3.0.27), Ethernet (v67.8.1) and SMU (v1.50) drivers.
EDIT:
Meanwhile these driverpacks 19.04 ore offically offered by Fujitsu-Siemens.
Look here:
19.04 pack for Vista x86
19.04 pack for Windows XP

@ all nForce4 users:
Since the nForce IDE drivers v10.3.0.27 of this new Vista package obviously are digitally signed by Microsoft and seem to be fully compatible with all nForce4 chipsets, it would be interesting to know, if they can be used from scratch.
Your running Vista will not be affected at all, if you just do the following:
- Copy the SATA_IDE and SATARAID driver folder of the Vista driver package onto a USB stick or onto 2 floppy disks.
- Boot off your Vista x86 DVD.
- Load the content of the SATARAID and then the SATA_IDE driver folder, when prompted, and look, if your RAID will be detected or not.
- Abort the Vista installation.
Please report here, if your RAID has been detected or not.
Thanks in advance!

Wow, they added the MCP04 device ID to the IDE driver for the first time since the 7.15 drivers. Its about time.
Fernando, after a quick evaluation, it appear the device IDs for the gigabit ethernet controllers on both the nForce2 and nForce3 are in this new 67.81 driver. Can you confirm? |

Yes, I can confirm that.
The new Ethernet drivers v67.8.1 obviously are supporting all nForce chipsets from NF2 up to the NF7 series. |

Interesting, I wonder how they actually perform? Too bad they are not WHQL, and when/if they go WHQL nVidia will probably cut the device IDs from them with our luck.
In a more shocking revelantion...because the Vista x86 set is WHQL, that means NF3 Vista x86 users actually have a working WHQL driver for their mobos besides the SMBUS driver.

I am not as pessimistic as you.
Reason:
The Ethernet drivers v67.8.1 as part of the 19.04 Vista x86 package are WHQL certified and do contain the HardwareID's of nForce2 and nForce3 chipsets too! |

Understandable, being pessimistic isn't my best trait, but one nonetheless.
Are we even sure it is WHQL, because we have reveived betas in the past (old AGP and MEMController) drivers which has a WHQL tag in them but I suppose didn't actually work with the included driver?
I really want to know if the IDE drivers work properly with NF4 chipsets now! |

I am pretty sure, that all nForce chipset drivers of the Vista x86 package are WHQL certified.

Me too.
That is why I have written the second post of this thread.
@ all nForce4 chipset users:
Is there anyone who had tried or would try to get one of the new nForce chipset driver packages 19.04 installed?
We need your report! |

| I don't think the SMBUS driver is signed is it? |

You are right: That is nearly unbelievable, because NVIDIA has already released WHQL signed SMBus "drivers" v4.64 some months ago, but maybe this is not a problem at all, because the SMBus folder doesn't contain any real driver (= file with the suffix .SYS).
Furthermore this "issue" is easy to repair. Users have just to replace the SMBus folder of the 19.04 package by the appropriate one of my actual driverpacks.
