Hello
I've just installed Special WHQL Performance Pack for vista x86 - so far so good but there's a problem:
you say in additional infos this:
| Quote: |
| Don't be astonished or even afraid, if you get a "safely remove hardware" icon within the systray after having installed any of the new nForce IDE drivers. This is not a bug, but a feature of the new generation of nForce S-ATA drivers with AHCI support. |
but, funny thing, I used to have the icon with the old drivers I was using (i think v9.98 ) but now with this new ones (v9.99.09) it's GONE !
What can I do ? I really need that hot-swap feature to work again but with this new drivers - I don't want to rollback to the old ones.
Thank you !
PS: I have nforce 570 sli AMD and currently running a RAID 0 and a WD2500kS that I need to plug in/out from time to time without restarting the computer

It worked flawlessly for me with the old drivers (v.9.98 ) so...you're kinda wrong...it's something wrong with the driver most likely - I encountered the same problem at v.9.95...
Anyway I'm waiting for an answer from the guru Fernando - perhaps he knows a workaround...if not I'll rollback to v.9.98 !
Thanks ! |

You may try to install the HotSwap! tool you get here.
Please report here, if this tool solved your problem. |

@ all Vista users with an nForce chipset mainboard:
The first post of this thread has just been updated again.
Changelog:
- New: Actual NF4-7 WHQL driverpack for Vista x86
Although or because I didn't yet get much feedback regarding the brandnew nForce chipset driverpacks 19.04 (look here), I decided to created an "Actual NF4-7 WHQL Driverpack" for Vista x86 and to offer it within the first post of this thread.
These are the components of the brandnew pack:
| Code: |
Ethernet Driver (v67.80) WHQL
SataRAID Driver (v10.3.0.27) WHQL
SataIDE Driver (v10.3.0.27) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v10.3.0.27) "Sedona"
SMBus Driver (v4.64) WHQL
SMU Driver (v1.50) WHQL
HD Audio Driver (v1.00.00.26) WHQL
optional IDE driver registry cleaner (made by TwL)
Installer (v5.93)) |
Any feedback is much appreciated.
Have fun and good luck with the new drivers!
Regards
Fernando
EDIT:
Since I am not at home for some days, I will not be able to visit this forum and to give any support/advice.
I'll be back on Monday (4th August).

Hello Fernando,
Why do you not integrated the Ethernet Driver (v67.81) WHQL in your package.
For my part, I have installed this and it works very well !
Greetings and congratulations for the job

Hello Richard,
the answer is, that TheAgeOfMen had reported about problems to get the 67.81 Ethernet driver installed onto his nForce 650i SLI chipset mainboard (look here).

Thanks for your feedback. If I should get more positive reports about the Ethernet driver v67.81, I will put them into the next version of my driverpacks.
Which nForce chipset does your motherboard have?

Hello Fernando,
I own two systems connected on switch 1 GigaBit, himself on ADSL router :
1-) N 570 Ultra-MCP based (ASUS M2N-E), AMD FX dual core 4850e, 2 Go DDR2 800, 750Go Raid 0+1, dual boot with W2K SP4 "SP5 hotfixed" and XP Pro SP3 "SP4 hotfixed" (TheHotfixShare.net). With these two systems there, in my case, only the ethernet drivers of series 65.xx functioned correctly. With those of series 67.xx, I had a connection well on the router but never between the two PC. Except with this last (67.81): everything works well.
2-) N 430/6150LE IGP (ASUS M2N-MX), AMD FX dual core 3800, 4 Go DDR2 666, 250Go raid 1 under Windows 2008 Server Std without V-H(recently installed in place of VISTA Ultimate) wich goes perfectly whatever the driver release or version.
"Nothing in this real-world is never perfect, but is necessary to make with"
Greetings, Richard |

Thanks for your additional details.
@ all users, who installed the 19.04 driverpack:
What is your impression of the the included Ethernet driver v67.81?
Should I replace the Ethernet driver v67.80, which is part of my current driverpacks, by this new version?
Your feedback is much appreciated.
