BTW: Fast Writes isnt anything and there is proof that it actually makes things slower now. You arent losing a thing there, as even ATI will be aborting it use.

Also, my install order I recommend:

Install order:
1. WinXP Pro
2. WinXP SP1a
3. SP2's - to include Q811493
4. DirectX 9.0a
5. nForce2 Drivers (3.38 or newer) <-- will be released soon :)
6a. ATI Catalyst (diable the SMART service prior to re-boot)
6b. After boot is complete, than run smart ONCE, than disable again.
7. Complete updates offered at MS

Mobo

:P I use an asus a7n8xdeluxe withxp2600 333 fsb, samsung pc3200, 2X256. Doing mostly audio for video. 109 tracks of audio with plugins.
I can do a whole feature length without having to apply the plugins. I'm working in real-time. I havn't had any problems with audio or video. This is the fastest system I've ever had the pleasure of working on. As an aside, I've also got a couple of Aardvark soundcards running in conjunction with the onboard with no driver issues. If new drivers come out, they come out. Great Job Nvidia and Asus.

Your Deluxe motherboard is being wasted with that little a cpu.
In order to get 333 fsb you need at least an xp2600+ 333. Otherwise no go on the fast front side bus. Before you trash the thing I'ld buy a faster cpu, and pc3200 mem. Too I had to Rma a board back to Lynn computers before I got a good one. Good luck

I noticed a 1942 patch at Nvidia.com , maybe this is for the stuttering graphics. Check it out and I hope it helps U.

I run my 1700+ on 9.5x200=1900 with the default 1.6 voltage. Didn't go higher just because of temperature. I want to stay cooled by the GlacialTech Silent Breeze that whispers @ 2200 rpm & 19dB ... so ... don't waste your money on expensive CPU's, buy something better.
