<<Ghost, could you clarify this a little bit? Did you re-enable the ATI Smart service in the Services snap-in or did you run an executable? Did you also re-enable the Hotkey Poller service (if indeed you re-enabled the ATI Smart service)? >>
The path for this in WinXP home is
Start > Settings >Control Panel > Proformance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Services
The two files your looking for are "Ati HotKey Poller" and "Ati Smart"
after you disable both of them and reboot, you set the Ati Smart first. Set the "Startup type" to Automatic and then click on the Start button under "Service Status:" ( on the General Tab ) Yourr screen will go blank for a few seconds then come back. Close the Ati Smart dialogue box and open the Ati HotKey Poller file and repeat the same steps.
