Source engine going next gen?

Either Valve is screwing with people (seems unlikely at this point) or they're finally going to have a proper engine for current gen PC gaming soon.

I reckon it'll be the first engine to use OpenGL 4.3... :-k

Nvidia already have OpenGL 4.3 drivers today that support Fermi & Kepler, AFAIK the only thing that they have to support in software is the ASTC compression.

I don't think Rage even used OpenGL 4.0 so I still doubt it. We'll see of course.

Hmm... might be right in time for my next computer, I plan to buy a new one in 2015.
No sig due to budget cuts.

You might want one sooner! ReRAM and OLED are due to hit late 2013 and should change the landscape significantly.
