SN25P and Zalman

Hi,

I have a Shuttle SN25P and its great, my only problem is the Abit X800XL video card i have in it is way to noisy for my liking.

Has anyone had any experience with putting the Zalman passive heatsinks in a SN25P?

does it fit?

does the Fan Duct have to be removed/modded?

which passive zalman heatsinks are you referring to specifically?

Most of them are not too large, and as the card faces inwards (can accomodate a 7800gtx if needed) you shouldn't have too much of a problem with them.

I myself have a 6600GT in the boxen and the fan is reasonable and doesn't clutter anything up.

The fan duct in the Sn25p is optional at best, true it does lower temps by about 2 - 6 'c but not nessecary vs a large gfx card.

Sorry for the extremely late delay with my reply. (been out of the country for a while, on some nice holidays)

Anywho,

I was looking at getting any one of the following, or for that matter any one that would fit and be quieter than my current one!

ZM80C-HP
ZM80A-HP
ZM50-HP
ZM17-Cu

But as i have found out any non single slot coolers will not Fit in the SN25P, well at least any dual slot ones which require room at the back will not fit unless the side of the case is off

So does anyone know of any Single Slot coolers which are either passive or have a slow spinning fan?

My current Video Card, Abit X800XL is very loud, and idles at 50 degrees, and as soon as i begin to play a game for a while eg BF2 or FEAR, the card soon goes above 90 degrees, and noticible display corruption occurs. with sometimes crashes with the Ati Report sender thingo.

oh, im using the catalyst 5.11's

So basically I need a better cooler, or a new video card
