Sound Problem on ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe.

Im having a problem with sound on this board using headphones, i know the headphones work fine cos if i plug into my TV they r great. They r good quality headphones costing £35 and r philips branded but when watching Video using them theres a lot of distorsion, crackling etc, yet the PC Speakers work great. Ive tried changing settings to headphones in control panel and tried changing the volume and so on and i cant seem to solve it.

Anyone have any ideas?
