| A few days ago I noticed that on my desktop taskbar that the LAN Icon "status" icon was missing, so from there i went to check the Network Connections folder to see whats up. I was at a loss to find that the folder was empty, the only things i can see in this folder are "New Connection Wizard" and "Network Setup Wizard". I tried reinstalling all my chipset drivers and ethernet drivers to the newest ones provided by Shuttle.com I have also googled this and tried all the things listed on Microsoft website and so on. i have the - Shuttle SN25P NF4 Chipset , Kingston 2GB DDR400 , AMD64 3500+. So i realized that i once had this problem on my other desktop, so i booted that up and yep its having the same problem. My 2nd comp is - DFI NF4 SLI-D , 1 GB OCZ Plat rev. , AMD64 3500+. If i wasnt having any problems on the 2nd comp i woulda posted this under shuttle, but since its both i figured this would be the best place to post it. Any help on how to get my LAN Icons back for the NForce Networking Controller would be great. By the way, they are both working fine online, but I have been having a lil problem with having windows firewall ON and my internet would refresh every 10 min but it wasn't long enough to disconnect me from AIM but it would disconnect me from IRC. |

| Did you uninstall these drivers before reinstalling them? |

Does either board show the NIC(s?) in Device Manager under "Network adapters'?
Or/and listed there without any problems being shown? |

| yep. they both show it and if i check them they are both properly functioning. |

| honestly this is really lame lol 2 comps with the same problems, both are spyware / virus free after doing like 12 diff scans lol |

Might look at all the "solutions' there, but specifically:
Start, Run. cmd.exe
regsvr32 netshell.dll
regsvr32 netcfgx.dll
regsvr32 netman.dll
Remember to press "Enter' after entering each command above. A reboot afterwards would be nice too.
NOTE: I don't know what OS, other software, or even any tweaks that might have been done so if my help farks something you're on your own. |

| haha yeah i tried those too. ive tried sooo many things before i finally gave up and posted on these forums hoping to find an answer, thanks for tryin to help tho. appreciate it. |
