No USB 2 after XP reinstall

I seem to recal something odd about USB 2.0 drivers being tricky or not installing right when I first built this PC with My A7n8x-dlx
After reloading XP, SP2 and about 90 or so updates, USB devices are recognized, but not at the 2.0 speed.
Sure enough the device manager shows a USB controller in the Unknown devices section.
The chipset driver I used was Nforce 5.10 and went with all of the options offered. (GART, Mem Contrlr, SMBus, Ethernt, IDE, and Audio)
The 3com LAN is not recognized either but I am not worried about that. I think i never botherd to fix taht little problem the first time either.
This USB 2 thing bugs me.
Any hints or suggstions?
Searched on USB keywords on teh NF2 forum but didnt see any good matches.

Got it.
Did 1 more search before I gave up for the night and saw this

Tried the last coment on that thread and manualy updated the driver of the "unknown" USB controller and pointed it at the already expanded nvidea folder from the chipset install an hour ago.
Bong..ding..bong..bong..etc etc.
Now I have the enhanced PCI-USB item in teh USB section of DM.
