No output from integrated video

My father's 'cube' computer was brought to me supposedly fully functional, but upon arrival it no longer had functional onboard video. I've tried both the DVI and VGA ports and neither work. Clearing the CMOS by taking out the battery and shorting it out has had no effect. I have no standalone videocards which I can 'plop in' to this to see if this fixes it. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thx.

check to see if ram and processor r still seated properly and not worked loose during transit.

Nope, they are firmly seated. Rats. Any other ideas on what the cause could be?

only thing i would suggest at this point is try different ram and CPU!
