Supports for ALS882...
The ALC882 series 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio codecs with UAA (Universal Audio Architecture), featuring five 24-bit stereo DACs and three 20-bit stereo ADCs, are designed for high performance multimedia PC systems.
The ALC882 series incorporates proprietary converter technology to achieve over 100dB Signal-to-Noise ratio playback quality; easily meeting PC2001 requirements and also bringing PC sound quality closer to consumer electronic devices.
The ALC882 series provide 10 channels of DAC that simultaneously support 7.1 sound playback, plus 2 channels of independent stereo sound output (multiple streaming) through the Front-Out-Left and Front-Out-Right channels. Flexible mixing, mute, and fine gain control functions provide a complete integrated audio solution for next generation multimedia PCs.

High Definition BUS driver correction for systems needing them:
Windows XP / 2000 'x86' needs little help on High Definition Audio Bus driver before installing actual driver. So here's Microsoft & HP combination which needs to be installed before HD Audio drivers.
(New notice)
Looks like there is even better compination of drivers on HP website:
Here is link: Hotfix SP33566
you will still need this after: Microsoft Hotfix 888111
and since our lovely Hewlett-Packard wants to play games and delete if not success on their idiotic installer...
Here is Extracted sp33566 (Has all 36 languages to all XP systems (OEM, SP1, SP2) and so on...) :
MediaFire - Mirror - HP-sp33566-extracted RAR File
MediaFire - Mirror - HP-sp33566-extracted SFV Check File
Installation is simplistic:
first.. Open your Control Panel > Device Manager
second.. locate the Unknown Audio device or PCI Device > right click it > properties
third.. update driver.. > browse location / have a disc.. > direct it to this folder and select kb888111<yoursystem>-<yourlanguage> from folders
four.. hit update.. > done
(This will update the device in situation on Windows XP x86/x64 system where you cannot install SoundMAX drivers (Or realtek drivers) and no 'High Definition UAA device package will go through'.)
(Levono site was so slow didn't dare to copy it here, hehe, but tested with Realtek as with SoundMAX. x86 XP OEM to SP3 & w2k all working from HP file)

yep, they are you most of post the link like second before I finished editing. they were up like 3 days now.. was kinda slow.. hehe
@common
-Other moved forward post mentioned before-
There's an small issue detected on codecs interfearing these drivers at least the best drivers.
ffdshow & ffdshow64 (Tryup) has the for somereason an DSP included on these 'codec' packs/original sources. This will eliminate the swap that you can do with tool to separate Subwoofer from stereo/quadro speakers so don't be supriced if installed these codecs that you are missing secondary speakers completly from Vista.

Hello, on my Asus mainboard i've the Realtek 1200 chipset and i could'nt see it in the driver definition .. same in the official Realtek website there is no support for this new chipset.. is there a way to use this driver or on the official website for full support of the 1200 without loosing some features ?
Thank you |

| probably not unless modding .inf would help on there, but I don't know 1200 or its new features or how they work, if features are the same as old soundboards I see no reason why any drivers wouldn't work with modding a bit. |

the material ID for the ALC1200 is : HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_10438321
It's look like this is compatible with the ALC888 but the subsys is not mentioned in the Vista_R204 inf files maybe you could do a moded inf for ALC1200 users.. )
just for informations this chipset is a 8-Channel High Definition Audio. |

Well, I did a bit reading as far this document states I am reading of ALC1200 confusion..
http://www.driverheaven.net/motherboards-networking-misc-forum/169002-realtek-alc1200-confusion-questions-answered-last-post.html
It's workign just fine.. on newest 2.04 drivers.. There's even people who has posted screens..
I also have here open the latest 'WDM_R204' driver package and according to what I read here.. the file 'HDXCPC.inf' has all the drivers you need for that device..
