Microsoft's multi-touch, HD radio packing Mp3 player can be pre-ordered today on Amazon.com, Best Buy.com, Walmart.com, and the Microsoft store, (though as of 3:30am EST, only Best Buy had an active page.)

It will come to retail stores on September 15 --not the eighth, as we had previously stated-- in 16GB ($219.99) and 32GB ($289.99) capacities and five color variations. ZuneOriginals.net will also offer 10 custom engravings by guest artists on the Zune HD's launch date.

I preordered mine.

I'm about as likely to buy Creative as I am to cut my leg off...keep thinking about buying their audio cards, but then I realize its just for one game, and whats the point of throwing my money away like that :p

That's cool. I LOVE the Zune software, so I'm good.

I actually don't think I've ever said that about an app before. Hee.

I can see where you're coming from though. The Zune isn't even slightly established over in Europe. I've had every generation and loved it, so I'd have a much harder time switching.

Yeah its a real bummer. I love my 30GB Zune and I've bought quite a lot of accessories for it too. I'm just annoyed that once again (for the fourth time) MS hasnt got the balls to release it worldwide.

To me this smacks of a lack of faith in the product or its just a pet project for other applications. One of the MS Zune team guys was mentioning it was hard to get third parties on board to make accessories for it. I mentioned that if I was the head of Belkin why would I bother making stuff for a device that was only on sale in one country, most of whoms population have an iPod already.

I bet there will be next to zero marketing for it too, just the the last three.

I think this could be the last Zune. :(

I've read it will be in Europe this time. It's hard to say though.

I don't think they'll ever stop making Zunes. Now that they're tying the store in with the x360, theres that much more of a draw for random buyers.

I don't know how well Zune Pass would work in Europe, since MS isn't as strong a company in Europe there'd probably be a lot more resistance to it from the record labels. I don't know though. But that's their main selling point that iTunes hasn't matched, so if they can't pull that off successfully they got nothin'.
