Ok guys thx for the help.
I guess the GPU client is out.
I'm thinking about getting a C2D system made up, and I can't make up my mind between the E4300 and the E6320.
I want to get over 3ghz speed, at very least.
Ok, here's what I got so far:
Kingston ValueRAM 4Gb 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2N5K2/2G - OEM
4 sticks, 1 gig each. Right off asus approved list.
ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Good basic board. Solid, from what I've heard.
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 Allendale 1.8GHz LGA 775 Processor Model (retail.)
I heard it explained that because of the 9x multiplier of the allendale chip, it will naturally clock higher with 800 mhz RAM, but I'm new to intel boards, all my builds have been AMD dating back to the DX4-100.
Is the 4300 the right move, or will the 6320-6420 clock just as high with the same RAM?
Did I mention that I live in allendale, Michigan? No lie.
