Hmm... Odd. I show no results returned at nForcersHQ.com, but I have returned several, though the BOINC ones will probably be delayed in appearing. But I also have completed 4 HPF2 results with the WCG agent, since I suspended BOINC due to no cancer work available and not being able to run HPF2 tasks in BOINC due to insufficient memory. The HPF2 results show up in my personal stats, but not in nForcersHQ.com's stats - do they update at different times? :?

Don't get much for points, though; 4 results equals 269 points with HPF2. :(

yes, the team stats are only once per day, around midnight GMT. individual stats are several times per day. :)

with the UD/WCG agent, scoring should be similar to grid's scoring, with the exception that network score is fixed, I believe. results completed quickly are awarded smaller amounts of points.

It's quite odd. In one section of the WCG site, I show results returned, in another - none. Actually it's stranger than that, there are 3 different versions there.

First, at my "Device Statistics" page:

Then at my "Results Status" page:

Then at nFHQ's page:

At first I thought, at least re: the BOINC results, that they'd show up once their status changed(they were completed yesterday), but 2 have changed from "Pending Validation" to "Inconclusive", without showing up in the team stats or in my device stats page. I'm sooo confused!!

Oh, well, it'll all come out in the wash, I imagine.

Much of the confusion with points is due to the BOINC credit system, and trying to combine that with the UD system. UD client for WCG works same as grid. BOINC client has some quorum system, where they send the same unit out to 3 people, and assuming they all come back with the same result, they use some form of average of the Claimed Credit (the number you see on the Results Status page) to determine your Granted Credit. The Granted Credit is then put into a formula to convert it to an equivalent UD client score...which is the score used in team score. So, if that 269 you had mentioned before was BOINC credit, that is actually pre-conversion. It'll be much closer (possibly even more) after it gets converted. Note, for the stats junkie in you, this means you have 2 sets of stats...the regular WCG stats, as well as WCG BOINC stats (which is why there are 2 options in the statsig). http://www.boincstats.com/ is a good site after you get stats. :)

It looks like something may be wrong with your BOINC install or something (I personally haven't run it enough to know what, though)... :? In your second image, with the results status, you have 0 CPU Time, yet claiming 60+ points. If you click on the Workunit Name, you can see the status of the people you're validating against, the number of points they were awarded, etc. Note that you don't get points until the status gets changed to "valid" or "invalid".

You should probably see the 514 points from the UD client in the next team stats update.

It takes a day or two for the stats to validate in the BOINC client.
I was kind of concerned at first if i was getting credited for all the results i was turning in but just running this on the weekends i have had a chance to see how many WUs i returned over the weekend and all were credited over the next few days.

Yeah, I'll just wait it out. What projects are y'all running? I wanted to run cancer, but I can't get any WUs/tasks, and I don't see anything about it in the forums.

Key for the results status page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forum ... hread=6105

I'm running the new Genome Comparison project on the old pc. I was testing Cancer project on my laptop. If you're trying to run Cancer on the machine with 512mb that you posted earlier, you'll never get a cancer WU for the simple reason that the required specs are higher for that project. :( Guess I'll run HPF2 on this machine. Since I want to fight cancer, I'm thinking I'll leave the rest on UD/Grid. At least until I upgrade a machine and can xfer some RAM. But that will be a while yet.

Anyone know how long it takes BOINC to pick up changes you make to the projects you're participating in? I changed both the WCG and BOINC profiles to HPF2 this morning(11/25), but the messages in the BOINC manager show:

"11/25/2006 12:37:00 PM||General prefs: from World Community Grid ( last modified 2006-11-24 15:11:08 )"

So I can't get any HPF2 work for BOINC because it won't pick up the preferences that would tell it of the fact that I'm not doing just cancer anymore, which I can't due due to insufficient RAM. But I am running HPF2 via the WCG agent in the meantime. :)

BTW pinky, as you can see from my sig, that project ID did finally show up - so I'm not an "invalid user name" anymore! :P

(though I'm not sure yet what the WCG BOINC RAC stats represent)

"Results Average Credit"?
