About MEI's nWare

MEI's nWare is a set of drivers for the NVIDIA nForce series chipsets (i.e. the package should works from the first nForce 420-D to the latest nForce 590 SLI).

It was tested by on :
- NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb (MSI K8N Neo Platinum)
- NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra (MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum)
- NVIDIA GeForce 6150/nForce 430 (ASUS A8N-VM CSM)
But according to feedbacks it works also pretty well on nForce2.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

- Q - Is this driver set WHQL?
- A - I always try to keep WHQL certificate working, but each driver of the set that is modified will lost its WHQL authentication, even though it will keep the fact that it is a good driver.

- Q - Can I slipstream these drivers in my Windows CD?
- A - Yes, it works. But keep it mind that IDE drivers aren't WHQL certificate so slipstreaming isn't recommended, or use nLite. The display driver could create problem.

Tried them on a 590 SLI w/ SLI and SLI is broken. It locks up whever trying to access things that use my graphics cards. Works fine with it off though... then when i try to turn it on again it freezes with a error beep.

I'm interested in your remix and i've a question.

Nvidia audio driver 4.65 of the official 6.86 package seems to be buffer limited, in 2d and 3d (4.62 audio driver: 52/50 2d - 48/40 3d, 4.65 audio driver: 28/20 2d - 16/16 3d).

Do you know if the 4.66 audio driver has the same buffer limitation?

The limitation is the same I think as it was introduced with Vista support.
