Hi.I just downloaded the 64bit driverpack v6.0 Beta for Vista x64 and I get this winrar error-Fernandos_actual_Vista_64bit_NF4-7_Driverpack_v6.0_Beta.rar: CRC failed in layout.bin. The file is corrupt.I downloaded it 3 times and get this error every time.Anyone know what could cause this..

6.0 driverpack working perfectly on Vista x64 on an nForce 680i except:

- I see the same script error dialog box shown in prior part of this thread
- I also see that the layout.bin file does not decompress with unrar
- The 11.x driver works ok BUT the MediaShield tools don't seem to... i.e. the NVIDIA Control Panel has no "Storage" tab etc although my RAID 1 array is recognized perfectly.
- The ethernet driver refused to install (67.89 is still there)

Why do you want to decompress that BIN file?

If you want to use the "Storage" panel, you have to install the RAIDTOOLS manually. This is a bug of NVIDIA's Win7 driver set.

You have to uninstall the previously running Ethernet driver before you start installing a new one.

Dumb question I am sure, but how do I install RAID tools manually?

Okay so LAYOUT.BIN is a useless file, that's fine, I can live with that.

Thanks Fernando. That worked... mostly.

Something is screwy with PhysX now where the NV Control Panel || System information || Components shows PhysX as "Unavailable" (both File Version and Product Name)

I suspect I need to reinstall it.

This is what I have posted more than 1 month ago:
Fernando 1 wrote:@ all:
There are already a lot of users, who downloaded my Vista Test Driverpacks v5.6 and the newer v6.0 Beta ones, but none of these questions have yet been answered:
Fernando 1 wrote:I will put new 32/64bit Vista driverpacks on the basis of the v5.6 ones into the first post of this thread after having gotten an answer to the following questions:
1. Is it possible to install NVIDIA's official Win7 driver sets 15.35/15.37 while running Vista?
2. Do my test packages work fine even with nForce 560/520 (=MCP65), nForce 630a (=MCP67) and nForce 780a/750a (=MCP72) chipset mainboards, which are not supported by NVIDIA's official ones? That means: Will the nForce SATA AHCI/RAID drivers v11.1.0.23 be properly installed?
If you want any update of the Vista driverpacks I am offering within the first post of this thread, I need your feedback.
Please remember: All what I am doing here is for you, not for me.
I do not want to waste my time for the creation and presentation of any driverset, if you don't even take the time for a short report about your experience with them.
No feedback means "no interest".
As long as I don't get more feedback regarding my test and Beta packages, I will not present any new or updated Vista driverpacks.

Regards
Fernando

Greetings Fernando...

I can provide some answers...

At least with an nForce 680i on Windows Vista x64 SP2, you can indeed run the 15.35 installer and it will work.
