Original title: Official 15.45, 15.46 nForce packs for Windows XP/XP64

Official driver packs have been released yesterday (15.45) for Windows XP/XP64 so far. I guess updated packs for Vista/W7 will follow soon.

Windows XP64

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/n ... l_whql.exe

Ethernet Driver (v73.10) WHQL
Network Management Tools (v73.13) "Sedona"
SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.30) WHQL
SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.30) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.30)
SMBUS Driver (v4.69) WHQL
SMU Driver (v1.71) WHQL
GPU Driver (v186.34) WHQL
Installer (v7.53)

The 15.45 include the nVidia VGA driver also and the downloads are big, about ~150mb.
The 15.46 are the same packs minus the VGA driver, about ~ 50 mb.

EDIT by Fernando: Title changed and stickied

Anybody tested this new drivers yet?

Higher versions on Ethernet, IDE/AHCI/RAID and SMU drivers. I will create a new Package for AHCI Users...

Once again nVidia has messed these up royally. Their pages indicate that certain packages support far more chipsets than they actually do. The 15.46 should support nForce 570-590, 680, and 780i/790. The 15.45 will not suppor those (Ethernet) at least under XP. I have not peeped the Vista packages yet.

Bad Joker, if you are going to start remixing driver packages, you will need to become very familiar with Device IDs. Nvidia can't seem to get it right, so we must be extra vigilant.

You are totally right. NVIDIA has messed up everything again.
Since there is a little chance, that the brandnew v11.1.0.30 IDE drivers will support NF4 chipsets (if the needed HardwareID's are present within the associated INF and OEM files), I have tried to create new 32/64bit Remix Packs on the basis of the official 15.45/15.46 driver sets.
Users, who want to test my brandnew "NF4-7 actual Driverpacks v7.0" for Windows XP (32/64bit), may look here.

@ Bad Joker:
Thank you very much for your efforts to help here within the past weeks and for the creation of a new XP driver Remix Pack. I am sure, that you will be able to do the needed customization of the INF and OEM files very soon yourself. If you want, you may continue my work within this Forum.

Greetings!
Fernando

15.45 RAID driver v11.1.0.30 does not work with ABIT Fatal1ty AN9 32X (590 SLI AMD). After reboot I get the dreaded BSOD: STOP 7B and have to restore the old driver from the Recovery Console with the driver floppy. Since 9.35 of 2005 there has not been a single working version for this MB.

I'm not sure I wouldn't put that on Abit rather than NV. Abit was often using custom device IDs it seems like.

Maybe there was good reason for it, but it seemed to mess up driver installs all too often.

Re: Official nForce XP drivers thread

Postby Fernando 1 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:37 am

@ all nForcersHQ Forum users:

Within the "nForcers Drivers" section of this forum there are a lot of threads about slightly different official or unofficial nForce driver sets. In the past each nForcersHQ Forum user started a new thread, when she/he found any new nForce driver set somewhere. The only advantage of this procedure is, that the Forum visitors can see at once, that there is a new set available (inclusive the set version number). On the other hand it is not easy to find the correct thread, if Forum visitors are searching for the last official/unofficial driver set, which is compatible with their special chipset. As you all know NVIDIA will never release an AIO nForce driver set, which is usable with all nForce chipsets. That decreases the information quality of starting a new thread after each release of a new official driver set.

To make it more comfortable for the users finding the correct place for the discussion about the actual official/unofficial drivers, I would like to minimize the amount of threads by concentrating the topic of them. Since I got some moderator rights a few days ago, I am able to do it.

As a first step I have changed the title of this thread, which was started by venejo at Oct 02 2009, from "Official 15.45, 5.46 nForce packs for Windows XP/XP64" to "Official nForce XP Drivers Thread".
Users, who want to get some informations about the earlier released official NVIDIA nForce driver sets 15.23, 15.24 and 15.25, can find them >here< (sets 15.23/15.24) and >here< (set 15.25). I was not able to transfer them correctly into this thread, because these older threads were about Win7/Vista and XP driver sets all together.

Important consequence for you:
All future inputs concerning officially released nForce drivers for Windows XP (32/64bit) - inclusively reports about a new set release done by NVIDIA - should be posted into this thread.

If you have a better idea about how to get the best possible structure within the "nForce Drivers" section of the Forum, please let me know it.

Regards
Fernando

It was our Forum member ruan, who gave the information (thanks to him!):

NVIDIA recently has published "new" official 32/64bit nForce chipset driver sets 15.56 dated 05/02/2011 for Windows XP (32/64bit).

These are the components:
  • Ethernet Driver (v73.30) WHQL
  • Network Management Tools (v73.25)
  • SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
  • SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
  • RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
  • SMBUS Driver (v4.79) WHQL
  • SMU Driver (v2.08) WHQL
  • GPU Driver (v197.13) WHQL
  • PhysX (v9.10.0129)
  • Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.115) WHQL
  • Installer (v8.36)
Supported products (according to NVIDIA):
  • nForce 9 series:
    980a SLI
  • nForce 7 series:
    780a SLI, 760i SLI, 750a SLI, 740i SLI, 740a SLI, 730i (Geforce 9400/9300), 730a (GeForce 8300/8200), 720i, 720a (GeForce 8100), 710a
  • nForce 6 series:
    630i/GeForce 7150, 630i/GeForce 7100, 610i/GeForce 7050
Download links:
>official NVIDIA nForce chipset driver set 15.56 for Windows XP x86 WHQL international<
>official NVIDIA nForce chipset driver set 15.56 for Windows XP x64 WHQL international<

Here is my comment:
NVIDIA now officially has published the nForce chipset driver sets 15.56, which has been already released by some OEM manufacturers 1 year ago.
There is not a single new nForce chipset driver wthin NVIDIA's "new" official Windows XP sets dated 05/02/2011.
You can verify that by comparing the driver versions of these official 15.56 sets with those 15.56 sets, which were already presented last year within this Forum >here< for Windows XP (32/64bit).

Fernando
