I was messing around in Resource Hacker and found several unused dialogs in the 6.11 audio drivers.
So, I decided to watch NvMixer's registry activities with RegMon, and lo and behold, I found 2 NEW HIDDEN PAGES!

To enable 2 new pages in NvMixer (Advanced and "audio firewall"), create these 2 new registry values in HKCU\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Settings\ :

ShowAdvanced (binary)=01 00 00 00
ShowFirewall (binary)=01 00 00 00

Advanced page has many missing settings, such as rear (and center!) phase shift, DLS loading, NVSwap functionality, and "Ignore windows speaker setup" -- fixes sound resetting to 2 channels. Looks like nVidia actually listened to people's wishes!

But why didn't they tell us about it? Why keep this hidden?

I'm not seeing these extra tabs. REG_DWORD values right?

Yes I did restart the program, yes I even rebooted. What am I doing wrong??? Is it because I have 6.14?

no, 6.14 is correct -- I don't know if it exists in earlier versions. The beta nature of the drivers may explain why the tabs are hidden. It needs to be REG_BINARY,
value 01 00 00 00

Thanks DanaG, but I tried both DWROD and BINARY and neither seems to work.

No extra tabs Sad

I am using the beta audio drivers from the 6.11 pack. Version is listed as 6.14.0455.0. Mixer is build 449.
I used to use the 3.75 drivers (unofficial from Abit NF7 CD, AN7 folder), but I was forced to update to get surround sound in HL2.

I'm using the 6.14 beta's and add the ShowAdvanced 01 00 00 00 in REG_DWORD to that same registry location and it did nothing then i update to the WHQL certified 4.57's that Nvidia released in decemeber and bam there there are the advanced settings. someone tell me if it works for them.

good find!

got it to work. nvmixer 1.0 (build 450) on audio driver 4.57 WHQL. duno why it doesnt work for some above.

edit: screenshots gone.

u can dl the exported reg value key here.. if u dont want to bother with putting it in.. or if for some reason it doesnt work for u *shrug* it should work if u just double click it and import it. not responsible if something funky happens heh.

edit: dl to reg. gone. there's updated reg everywhere now. latest driver mix also have these mods.

there's a lot more stuff u can mess with. like turning on and off dolby digital live encoding.. selecting both digital and analog out (without using that silly wizard)

duno what Center3D is.. there's quite a few settings here that arent really explained.. perhaps it'll show up as fully supported in future version of nvmixer. if ever. heh.

quite a few of these settings were at the older control panel. so yeah. not really sure what audio firewall does though. there's some neat settings like accleration mode: safe or nvidia

Worked for me just fine (driver/panel 4.56/4.50). You don't even have to restart Smile
