I did a re-download because the original file was not ok. BUT now I have the correct CRC and still get the error when I perform the install the second time. Same errors same time.

Actually the window title reads "NVIDIA Deinstallation". Does that mean it just can't uninstall things properly?

Driver installation in device manager looks ok, will dare a reboot...

Everything seems fine even after a reboot. So this was probably due to an unexpected old installation (had newer PATA driver than in 11.15). I will edit my first post that people see it was a false alarm

I just downloaded "Nforce Unified Remix 11.16 for 2K/XP" twice, but the setup executable is telling me I don't have XP64(!) Also, is the 5.38 leaked ethernet driver in this package newer than the one in 11.15? Thanks.

Are you running Windows Server 2003?

@squall: btw, the system feels a little more responsive now with the newer drivers.

how strange, both X64 and X86 kits have the same 5.17 installer, so it shouldn't have a problem lol

and no guys, it won't have troubles launching the inf with the -i command switch :P

Do you mean I should try to re-install 11.16?

The deinstallation window error message has the same icon and appearance as nvusmb.exe. Is that of any help to you?

yeah, it meant it was attemping to uninstall the ide drivers, but couldn't because the nvu script was missing.

Still the same. What I found out is that
..{path}..IDE\WinXP\nvide.nvu doesn't exist. Those files are in the ..{path}..IDE\WinXP\sata_ide\ subfolder. Perhaps there is still a little error somewhere.

That'd be not so much fun, because I'm on RAID and need the drivers installed. Sorry :-\
