nForce sets 15.56/15.57 WHQL for Win7/Vista

At station-drivers (>LINK<) I just found new unofficial 32/64bit nForce chipset driver packages 15.57 for Windows 7 and Vista.

These are the components:

• Ethernet Driver (v73.30) WHQL
• Network Management Tools (v73.25) "Sedona"
• SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.44) WHQL
• SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
• RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.43)
• SMBUS Driver (v4.79) WHQL
• SMU Driver (v2.08) WHQL
• Installer (v8.36)

According to the included README.TXT these nForce driver sets are designed for "C51M/MCP51, C55/MCP51, C72, C73, MCP77, and MCP79".
That might be possible regarding some included drivers (Ethernet, SATARAID, SMBus and SMU), but not regarding the nForce SATA_IDE drivers v11.1.0.44, which only will support MCP79 chipsets.
Interesting detail:
The packages contain different nForce IDE driver versions. The nForce SATARAID drivers are v11.1.0.43 dated 04/09/2010, whereas the nForce SATA_IDE drivers are v11.1.0.44 dated 04/28/2010.

Today (12th July 2010) Venejo found some interesting nForce driver sets 15.56 for Win7 (32/64bit) at Gigabyte's Support pages (>LINK<).

Here are the components:

• Ethernet Driver (v73.30) WHQL
• SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
• SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
• RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.43)
• SMBUS Driver (v4.79) WHQL
• SMU Driver (v2.08) WHQL
• Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.115) WHQL
• Installer (v8.36)

Contrary to the 15.57 sets these 15.56 ones are only available for Win7 (32/64bit). Nevertheless the included drivers will work with Vista (32/64bit) too, but may not be installed by running the installer.

Fernando, the driverpack at station drivers no install by setup, this say install network and ide/sata and nothing, but.......i install manually this items and works wihout problems, by now. Sorry, my english is not very good. Spanish is my native language.

My system:
Mother: asus crosshair, bios 1304, modded. Chipset: northbridge nVIDIA SPP190 (C51XE). Southbridge: nVIDIA nForce 590 SLI (MCP55PXE). Cpu: Athlon 64 x2 6000+ windsor stepping jh-f3. 4 gb. ram ddr2 800 mhz. 1 hard drive hitachi sata 2, 250 gb. Video card: ati radeon 5770 1 gb ram ddr5, put in the second pci-e slot.

Meanwhile I have created new 32/64bit "Actual nForce Driverpacks" for Win7 and Vista on the basis of the nForce sets 15.57.
These are the components:

• Ethernet Driver (v73.30) customized and corrected by Fernando
• SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.44) customized by Fernando
• SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.43) customized by Fernando
• RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.43) "Sedona"
• optional IDE driver registry cleaner (made by TwL)
• SMU Driver (v2.08) customized by Fernando
• SMBus Driver (v4.79) WHQL
• Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.115) WHQL
• HD Audio Driver (v1.00.0.91) WHQL
• Installer (v8.07)

Compatibility:
Since the needed DeviceID's of some nForce chipsets are missing within the INF files of the Ethernet, SATA_IDE, SATARAID and SMU drivers, I have added them.
So I hope, that my customized 32/64bit driverpacks will support all nForce chipsets from MCP51 up (all needed DeviceID's are present).
The included WHQL certified SMBus "Driver" v4.79 will , the customized Ethernet Driver v73.30 may support nForce4 chipset mainboards too. The only driver, which will not work with nForce4 chipsets, are the included nForce IDE drivers v11.1.0.43 resp. v11.1.0.44. If owners of an nForce4 chipset mainboard want to test the actual Ethernet and SMBus drivers, they should replace the complete IDE folder of this 32/64bit package by the IDE folder of my actual 32/64bit "NF4-7 Performance Pack" for Vista, before they are running the installer.

Users, who are interested in testing the 32bit or 64bit version of my new "Actual nForce Driverpacks" v7.5, may send me a PM. Then I will give them the download link.

Installed on Win7 x64 on MCP55

Only Ethernet and SataIDE drivers installed and both working flawlessly. System seems a bit snappier with new IDE drivers but guess that could be placebo. No adverse effects though so more than happy!

Installed it 2 days ago on my Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 rev 2.0 mobo (MCP55P), Win7 x64.

I needed to install SATAIDE drivers manually, the installer couldn't do it by itself.
Ethernet driver installed fine automatically.

Everything is working fine with these drivers, and my system feels a little bit faster too (but maybe it's just placebo).

I suspect, that this issue was caused by the missing DeviceID of your MCP55 chipset within the first version of my customized nForce SATA driver INF file, where are just had added the DeviceID's of all nForce chipsets from MCP 65 up (chipsets with full AHCI support).
After having read your PM regarding the installation of the SATA_IDE driver, I have added all DeviceID's for MCP51, MCP55 and MP61 chipsets (by the way: although I don't think, that the nForce IDE drivers of theses sets will work with nForce4 AMD and Intel chipsets, I have added the DeviceID's too).

Here are some more details about the nForce chipset driver sets 15.56, which were found by Venejo at Gigabyte's support sites today:

• These are the real components:
  • Ethernet Driver (v73.30) WHQL
  • SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
  • SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.43) WHQL
  • RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.43)
  • SMBUS Driver (v4.79) WHQL
  • SMU Driver (v2.08) WHQL
  • Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.115) WHQL
  • Installer (v8.36)
  According to the README.TXT file the sets should additionally contain the following components, but they are not present:
  • Network Management Tools (v73.25) "Sedona"
  • GPU Driver (v197.13) WHQL
  • PhysX (v9.10.0129)
• These sets are currently only available for Win7 (32/64bit).
• The Ethernet, SATARAID, SMBus and SMU Drivers are the same as in the later released Win7/Vista sets 15.57.
• The included WHQL certified nForce SATA_IDE and SATARAID drivers v11.1.0.43 are dated 04/08/2010.
  According to the HardwareID entries they will support MCP51, MCP55, MCP 61, MCP73, MCP78 and MCP79 chipsets.
• The Away Mode Driver are dated 11/24/2009 and not new at all.
