|
|
|
Greetings!
"NVIDIA is set to announce its latest core-logic family for Intel processors. The new nForce 600i family spawns three new products—the nForce 680i SLI, 650i SLI and 650i Ultra. The three chipsets will target hardcore enthusiasts, performance gamers and mainstream gamers respectively. With the nForce 600i chipset family, NVIDIA has adopted a new naming scheme to differentiate its Intel and AMD products. Beginning with the nForce 600i family, NVIDIA chipsets will have “i” designations for Intel chipsets and “a” designations for AMD variants. "

extra £100 over a bog standard £80 mobo you mean? :S
all my motherboards have cost me £120 - £180 generally... i always buy enthusiast boards >.<
That being said, the 680i motherboard i'm going after is the ASUS Striker Extreme.

Greetings!
Asus Striker Extreme:
"We have been working closely with Asus for the last couple of weeks, testing its latest addition to the Republic Of Gamers product line. The Striker Extreme is based on NVIDIA’s all new flagship nForce 680i SLI chipset, designed for Intel’s Core 2 based processors. The Striker carries over many of the unique features found on the Crosshair – but before we delve into it, we’re going to go through some of the basics of NVIDIA’s new chipset."

Greetings!
"Some call ASUS Striker Extreme the today’s best mainboard for computer enthusiasts, however we have to disagree with them on that. We discovered that it is not as great as they praise it and may not be worth the money they ask for it in stores. Find out why from our new review!"
