This issue is well known and there is no workaround except not using modded drivers. But there's no need to disable a network device... just unplug the cable. :p

Are there any benefits i miss without the new ethernet driver? I couldn't find any so far...

As squall and mei have already pointed out, it's a known issue with Pre-NRM v4.71 beta. You'll be fine with v4.16 WHQL. I'm currently using v4.36 WHQL and have no issues either. You can try this version from my dir: http://advmoddev.farvista.net
Abit AN7[] XP-M 2400 => MCW6002|ProCore|MCP600 [] OCZ 1.5GB PC3200 [] eVGA 7800GS => VF700 [] 2x160GB 'cuda RAID 0 [] SoundStorm => Z-5500

hi AvdMod

you got any ideas as to why the agp and memctrl drivers never pop driver signing messages? they always install silently :|

I'm not totally sure. I know that because I have WinXP setup to always ignore unsigned drivers, I never see the popup for "drivers" that don't actually install .sys files such as monitor, smbus, etc. The memctrl is another one of those that don't actually install anything. But the agp does and I guess one should see the popup regardless of the winxp setting, just like beta vid drivers.

Installed it on a NF4 - works very well! And surprisingly it solved the NCQ problem with my Samsung SATA2 drives. Thank you!
