I tried 11.10 and 9.53 ethernet drivers on nForce2ultra (Abit NF7-S). They don't allow to deactivate the ethernet adapter (error: driver in use by non plug&play device). I re-installed 4.1.6.0 from official nForce 5.10 package and it works again.

Are there any benefits i miss without the new ethernet driver? I couldn't find any so far...

you have to disable it in the device manager as the driver is unsigned.

DevMgr works but its too much hassle since i want to disable by systray symbol. Unless there's no benefit i will stick with the working one. Rest of the package works great so far.

:!: There is no signature because the driver is not 100% working, not vice versa.

Signature comes when nVidia asks for one, and ofcourse drivers need to pass also. And signed drivers doesn't mean they are any more stable than non-signed ones...

True. But on a first look someone could understand Squalls post as if its the signatures fault that the nic is not de-activatable.

no i did really mean it

the Drivers before modification were signed, and they worked fine.

Windows doesn't allow you to disable an unsigned network device in the user level,.. so you have to do it via device manager, which is the Admin level.

im pretty sure Mei or fernando covered this before?
