So I built myself a HTPC and finally got a case. Anyways now that I rebuilt it all in the new case I can't get it to post? I just get a long beep, pause, long beep, pause, long beep, pause etc. No matter what I dissconect I still get the same beep error, other than when I completely dissconected the CPU heat sink, then I got the alarm. I've tried a different PSU with no luck, and tried all 3 sticks of ram in all 3 slots individually with no luck. Also tried a PCI vid card and took out the AGP card I have in it. Any ideas, or is this a dead board?

Yeah I tried removing the battery and resetting the CMOS, no luck. I don't think it would be CPU, as I did try reseating it.

No, I don't have a second CPU unfortunately. The CPU beep error code is one long beep, and then the machine shuts down anyways.

Unfortunately no. I think I'm just going to buy a used board and hope that's it. If it isn't I'll try for a new CPU I guess and see if I can sell the other.

I disassembled and reassembled again the other day with no luck. You think it may be grounding out on the case or something?
