Is weird, Abit is releasing a new nForce2 board that was expected to have the MCP-S bridge but their last reports are that the will come with the T.

Is that yours? get a firefighter soon! ;)

Back On topic

I'm in a search of a new board, I need to assembly a new PC for my kids, planning to shift some pieces around, was considering an AN7 but this looks good also, one thing that turns me down is the absence of HS mounting holes, wonky what do you know about that? initial versions of Abit NF2 board came with out them, but they change that in later updates.

Also I'm not so please with the OC ability of my MSi board.

Hopefully ABIT will release an NF7-S v3 motherboard with either the MCP2-S or MCP2-S1000 chipset.

Somehow I don't think so, as they have stated this is going to be their last Socket A motherboard (the AN7.) And in the NF7-S case, what does it really buy Abit? They already have SATA on their motheboard. Gigabit Ethernet is nice, especially if its built into the Southbridge, as it can use the Hypertransport link to the Northbridge to transfer data (as opposed to PCI.) But how many people have the hardware to even come close to saturating a Gigabit Ethernet connection? Its a nice to have and an extra feature to put on their retail box, nothing more. It certainly wouldn't get me to upgrade from my NF7-S.
