Hello! I have a MSI K8N Diamond plus and tried installing 4 gigs of OCZ Platinum pc3200 memory to upgrade the 2 that I had prior. I cannot get it to see or even boot up with the 4 gigs. It works with 2 or 3 in any slot but not with all 4. I made some changes in the memory options in the bios and nothing. I am running vista 64 ultimate. I could really use some help here. Thank you very much. Obie Sad

Updated BIOS? Relaxed timings? Increased RAM voltage?

The bios has been updated as well as Ram voltage increased and Relaxed timings. I reset the bios also and made the changes from default just incase there were something in the setting that could have caused this that I missed. I tried running 2 and 3 gigs in all 4 slots to make sure they are working and they did. Could there be a problem with the motherboard? Thank you for taking the time to assist me with my problem.

Are all four sticks the same revision(posted on stickers), AND all have the same default SPD timings?

I'm betting each pair have different SPD timings.

This is a related/similar problem with DFI boards and four sticks but I haven't ever heard of it with MSI before. ie two matched pairs but with each pair having differing SPD timings

If you discover the above to be the cause, I'd email RyderOCZ(OCZ Tech that lives a few miles from me) using the links provided in the thread I linked below FIRST, before doing anything that may cause more havoc than necessary.
