Huh... interesting still. I think the reason why your socket is usually higher is probably due to a lack of cool airflow around it. Other than that, beats me - maybe that's just the way the cookie crumbles. :)

I would tend to agree with this. My cpu is situated well above my intake fans. My intake fans blow below my video card. This case was not designed for airflow I guess, but was cheap when I bought my pc. I'm thinking of getting an aluminum case to replace this one soon.

FAQ Updated with Sensor Location pics and Downloadable .ini Settings files. Anyone who tries these out - please let me know how they go. Interested in seeing how well they work across the board...

ok i tried your file for MBM ..and my temps seem like they are not real cuz they seem toooo good i think..this is what i got..
I ran prime for ten minuites and got 35 on diode..36 on socket..20 on case..then i stoppped it and instantly got
"30 " on diode 36 on socket and 20 on case ..and right now from sitting and typing this it is at 30 diode ..33 socket...18 case...
im currently running at 11*200=2200mhz with stock volts (1.65v) which varies around 1.68-1.7v..my other asus did that too so i guess thats the way the volts fluctuate....also the diode temp did fluctuate very much like you say it supposed to Nerbil..went up and down fast and always fluctuated up and down on its way ..im just curious if these could be actually accurate temps?..not holding anyone to it just wondering..lol thx

Hmmmmm. Did you have MBM installed previously? If so, what did it report? What does AsusProbe report? How bout BIOS? Sorry for all the questions - but these files are new and need to be worked out so they work for everyone. I've got to weed out anything that may be confusing it. (Difference in board revision? Difference in processors?)

If you're up to it, uninstall MBM and re-install it and mamual set everything like is mentioned in the FAQ. Let me know what it reports then... (I knew this couldn't have been that easy. :-))

im headin out now but maybe later or tomorrow ill do some tests id love to get it working and maybe help you out in gettn that file set up right if possible.. ;) i also upgraded to to newer MBM before i did the install of the file so maybe that is making it read different too..gotta do some tests and write it all down :D..

edit...cpu and case temps in Probe are same as the settings of the "Socket" and case temps with your configuration file..and if i change to the "-S" sensor it pretty much stays at 45-47 and doesnt fluctuate at all..ill reboot and check bios :P
