hi, my wife just buy me this analog speakes.
I never setup a 5.1, so first I do it on windows to get help with asus (I have an Asus A8N-E nforce4-ultra) assistant. I get work it fine (all 6 channels), so connectors are fine pluged.
Now I'm trying to configure on debian testing
uname -a
Linux dacerpc64 2.6.17-2-amd64 #1 SMP Wed Sep 13 17:49:33 CEST 2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux
dpkg -l |grep alsa
ii alsa-base 1.0.12-1
ii alsa-oss 1.0.12-1
ii alsa-tools 1.0.12-1
ii alsa-tools-gui 1.0.12-1
ii alsa-utils 1.0.12-1
rc alsamixergui 0.9.0rc2-1-9
rc alsaplayer-gtk 0.99.76-8
rc alsaplayer-xosd 0.99.76-8
ii gnome-alsamixer 0.9.6-3
ii gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.9-2
ii gstreamer0.8-alsa 0.8.12-4
ii libpt-plugins-alsa 1.10.1.dfsg-1
but I cannot get Center and Rears works. I only gets Fronts, and Subwoofer. I read some about alsa mixer configuration but don't help.
"speaker-test -c 6" only play on 1 and 4, both fronts.
I read about ~/.asoundrc and /etc/asound.conf, tried with different configurations but don't get anything (must I have to delete these files?).
My current connections are (motherboard manual page1 page2, and S500 connectors).
Some screenshot about alsamixer: 1, 2, 3, 4
Thanks for replies, and sorry for my poor english |
