I'm currently running 41.14 Dets, they run great and I have no probs with any of my games execept not being able to run at my LCD's max native res (1280x1024) in some games (being limited to 1024x768) I've tried chaning refresh rates, installing the specific driver for my monitor as well as XP's standard plug and play montior driver etc, no change.
So I installed the latest Forceware Gfx drivers, (66.93?) I got more resoloution's in game as well as in XP's itself (where as with the 41.14 drivers I was Ltd 2 800x600/1024x768 and 1280x1024, and nothing in between even though my LCD can handle other resoloutions fine) but game performance fell drastically, especially in newer games (I have DX 9c installed).
So I've gone back to the 41.14 drivers;
I'm just trying to find-
A: the optimium drivers for speed and stability for the IGP
And...
B: Drivers that will give me more in game resoloutions.
I've read that the 43.03 drivers are the best for this IGP, is this right?
Also under 41.14 with the coolbits reg hack I only get the option of overclcoking the IGP to 250Mhz max, even though with the later forceware drivers I can go to 275Mhz easily, is this a big loss (my CPU/Mem FSB is Asynchronus @ 166 Mhz)? |

Use Riva Tuner - I got to 209FSB X 11 stable using the IGP for 6K + in 3DMark.

I take it you mean use Rivatuner 2 up the IGP/GPU clock.
With a 200Mhz FSB set in the Bios I thinK I need more Voltage, I'm running an XP2500, which gets overclocked 2 a XP3200 with standard multiplier (maybe I'll lower this) but it wont make the desktop with standard volltage, should I up the VDD, Is this safe (if upped a little) as I thought I'd herad of this killing SN41G2V2 and SN45's too. |

You may need another notch of VDD, I didn't but I was using an Epox mATX 8RGMi. Yup, Rivatuner to OC the IGP Core, if I remember correctly I used 300Mhz with a the AGP bus set to 74Mhz. I don't have an XPC so if you've heard about issues with increasing the VDD on them you might want to pass. The IGP core OC'd a bit higher on a lower FSB anyway so running 200FSB didn't gain much more than 300 points in 3DMark.

| 43.03 and 53.03 are coincidentally the most stable drivers for the GF4 and GF FX, respectively. |
