M2N-sli deluxe problems

hi all,
first time aroud here,
last friday i've bought me a new mobo the asus M2N-sli deluxe,since then
i've been having some bsod encouters,
booting failures, you name it, i've had it all.
And after i had to clear the CMOS frequently
first install were with the mobo support-cd drivers.
a lot of problems, constantly errors,bsod, and a lot of explorer.exe errors,
after a clean install even, very weird.
One time booting wasn't even possible, even in safe mode.
i've been trying the modded drivers from fernando here,
and still no improvements.
and i haven't even been touching the bios settings.
this is given me a hard time,
and i'm seriously thinking about returning this,
unless someone here can help me out ,
would be appreciated,

AMD Athlon X2 3800+
Kingston DDR2 6400 800 MHZ dual 4-4-4-12
BFG 8600 GT
NEC DVD-RW 4x
Seagate 160 GB sata
Maxtor 160 GB sata
PSU cooler master 580W
XP pro Sp2
