Hi all. Quick question: I have 3 monitors... two are plugged into video card A (8800 GTS), and one is plugged into video card B (5200). All video playback coming from video card B is much darker.
Any ideas?
I've been digging through the NV control panel (under "adjust video color settings", especially), but can't figure it out. All sliders are the same. I will note, however, that under "adjust video color settings", I can't choose which monitor to manually adjust, like under "desktop color settings" - I have to adjust them all at once. All sliders are at the default (+50%) so I wouldn't GUESS that maybe the older video card doesn't support video color-correction, because I'm not using it. Again, all sliders are at default... unless default IS using some correction to make videos brighter.
Clueless here. -- Oh, and another thing: I can't figure out of the darker videos or the brighter videos are the "correct" way to view them. In Adobe Premiere, all video seems to appear at the darker setting (no matter which monitor I view on) so I'm wondering if perhaps the brighter setting coming from my 8800 GTS card is color-corrected.

Greetings!
Easier solution is for you to pick which colour reproduction you prefer and use the monitor built-in configurations to adjust at your liking. |

Yeah, that's essentially what I do (all monitors APPEAR to be calibrated the same in the nVidia control panel) but for some reason, the monitor coming out of the 5200 card is displaying videos quite a bit darker.
That monitor is identical to the other ones, and is calibrated exactly the same, both in the monitor's settings, and the NV control panel. Can't figure it out. Does the 5200 card handle video color-correction differently than 8-series cards, or something?

Very probable.
You are using same drivers, right?
PS:
All monitors have the same panel?

Yes, my two side monitors have the same panel, and the monitor in question is one of those... so I know something has to be up with the video card or settings, because the screens themselves are*identical* (both in their configuration, and the way they display my desktop/games).
The only difference is that one of them is hooked up to a different video card (using the 169.21 drivers) and displays *videos* differently... which is a problem, considering that video is a large part of what I do.
