Greetings!
I need to buy some RAM for my PC and I was wondering what to get...I want to overclock my CPU, but, could I find some very overclockable RAM, 4 GB of DDR2, 6400 memory or should I go for 2 GB of DDR2, 8500 memory? The prices are almost the same between the two... |

| Maybe you should look at Geil DDR2 Ultra Dual Channel PC6400 memories? They are rated at 4-4-4-12 800MHz @2.1V. |

G.Skill HZ series 4-4-3-10 1066Mhz (2.1v) or HK serie 4-4-3-5 800Mhz (2.1v) would be absolute first choices for me.

Of course you have to use 64bit Windows (or 32bit 2003 Server) to access all 4GB |

Any 32bit OS is stuck with max 4GB physical+virtual addressing, which in practice only allows ~3GB of usuable memory, and even with windows PAE on a server your still stuck with 2GB kernel and 2GB address space chunks at any one time. |

I just bought a kit of Mushkin, a 4GB kit
The 996580 kit and so far it's been working great. Great overclocker too. |
