Greetings!

I need to buy some RAM for my PC and I was wondering what to get...I want to overclock my CPU, but, could I find some very overclockable RAM, 4 GB of DDR2, 6400 memory or should I go for 2 GB of DDR2, 8500 memory? The prices are almost the same between the two...

Maybe you should look at Geil DDR2 Ultra Dual Channel PC6400 memories? They are rated at 4-4-4-12 800MHz @2.1V.

G.Skill HZ series 4-4-3-10 1066Mhz (2.1v) or HK serie 4-4-3-5 800Mhz (2.1v) would be absolute first choices for me.

Of course you have to use 64bit Windows (or 32bit 2003 Server) to access all 4GB Smile

Any 32bit OS is stuck with max 4GB physical+virtual addressing, which in practice only allows ~3GB of usuable memory, and even with windows PAE on a server your still stuck with 2GB kernel and 2GB address space chunks at any one time.

I just bought a kit of Mushkin, a 4GB kit Smile
The 996580 kit and so far it's been working great. Great overclocker too.
