hello, I having little drivers headace for sata controllers
under windows xp both controllers have microsoft generic drivers
"standard dual channel PCI IDE controller"
Device Instance ID
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0550
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0560
I been doing a lot searching looking for this freaking drivers for my
controllers.. I try remixes nothing, even the nvidia drivers july 2007
does not pick up my controllers..
is [peeing] me off because I'm not getting my complete speed/feature etc..
is there driver out that works with this controllers?
between I got aspire 5520 I had this same process with graphic drivers i managed get better one but was a hassle too. *sigh

The problem is, that only your notebook manufacturer Acer is responsable for delivering the needed drivers, but Acer is only presenting Vista drivers for the Aspire 5520.
Have you tried the SATA_IDE drivers of this package? |

Well acer has windows xp drivers in there download section vga driver got it from nvision because acer one are so sh@tty, and chipset from them but they have support for xp except the sata drivers..
but I try the package it didn't work...

But you can work with the MS IDE drivers as long as you don't find suitable nForce S-ATA drivers, don't you?

It's courious, because the nForce chipset driver package v.14.10 I have linked to within my previous post is part of a 200 MB big special package just containing XP drivers for the ACER Aspire 5520. You can download this package here: http://www.jehanzeb.de/aspire5520_xp_drivers.zip |
