how did you get this thread up to the top of the board ? i thought it was re-sticked or s/t like this...
to the question:
you cannot disable the spred spectrum if you run your CPU at 133/166 MHz, try overclocking it to 135MHz or so, and there will no longer be any spred spectrum |

Not sure how I bumped it to the top. Maybe they do that for new forum members..hehe....
Your absolutly correct. Now I am running at 168 FSB and Spread Spectrum is disabled. I wonder why it is selectable when running at 166 but does not get saved....hmmm...must be a bug. Thanks

| Have you seen a performance increase with the new SATA BIOS included with the Uber 1003 BIOS? I'm curious in that I am using two Western Digital WD360 SATA drives. If you have indeed noted a performance increase than I may give this newer BIOS a try. Thanks! |

|
|

Ok, had a bios flash that went bad, worst possible time for a power outage. When the power came back on, the system will not boot. When powered on, all fans go to max rpm, power light and HDD light go solid, then after about 10 seconds, the HDD light goes off. Nothing every comes up on the display and no post beep. I tried the recovery bios list here, but it doesnt seem to read the floppy at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.
