I bucked up $300 and change to buy this card from Futureshop in Canada here.
I thought this was a killer card.......what a joke!
Nivida control panel?
Is that what that is?
HORRIBLE
Videos are dark blots moving theres crappy lighting.
I put my 1650 in a 4x agp computer with a 1.7 p4..........the 4x computer looks better than the 7800gs on 8x!!
I am going back and getting my 300 back and looking for a x1950 or wait for the 3850x2 agp.
What a joke. |

I've been running a EVGA 7800GS for about a year and a half. I wouldn't trade this card for anything!!! AGP that is.
Running it with a mobile Barton 2500 (OC'ed to 2.4) with an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. I don't do much for gaming with it, but it does play whatever games I have on it at the moment. I use it mostly to watch TV shows and movies. I have it setup as a dual display. I can play movies on the TV through S video, and surf the net and all that on the monitor at the same time. Card doesn't stress a bit. Doesn't even get warm!
I've had great luck with this card. I'm surprised to hear it's so crappy for you. What drivers are you using with it? I have acctually been running an older set of drivers. I forget which ones though. I know it's prior to the new Nvidia control panel.

I took it back and bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP  |

It's actually amazing for agp, I think agp might make a comeback.
