What is best way for flashing in the modded 3.7 bios for the K7N2-L non-delta? I have flashed in the regular 3.7 bios, but only way I could do it was using live update 3 and DOS floppy install.

I would like to use this modded bios as it allows me to disable second com port which does not exist and offers 2.8 vdimm. Any ideas on best way to flash in modded 3.7 bios would be greatly appreciated :D

There's no appreciable difference (at least, none that showed up during my tests with my 9500 (i'm aware that it's not the same card, but it's an 8x capable card, which is why i brought up the comparison)), and it's clearly stable for you. The only time you'd need a faster AGP rate is if whatever you were playing needed more texture memory than what's on the card, and that's not likely to happen for another few years.

According to Auswak, there is a huge difference in 8x when running with maximum quality - AA - AF.
He had doubled his score when running with these quality settings, in 8x!
So if you ask me, this is VERY important, when you can improve performance so much with quality settings, because the IQ is what matters most.
This is why I want to run it at 8x, and also because I bought and I paid for an 8x motherboard, not a 4x one![/b]

When you are at it. I did rename Onboard Serial 2

but changeable.

Next step would be to implement the Fasttrack Full-Raid-Bios
to give the people 2 drives for IDE3 ;)

I was thinking about the same thing also but just never got to it yet. I noticed they mis-spelled onboard too. I'm fixing to do the newer releases over the weekend and i'll look into the Fasttrack.

Check out the link wonkanoby gave you. It's really the only way to do it with ease and safety in mind. As for the 2.8 vdimm, it's only on the latest 5.4 Delta-L bios as of now but will be added to the other versions of the board as well over this weekend. I'm gonna get my gaming fix in first though.

Just uploaded new bios versions that include 2.8 vdimm option and the renaming of the serial port 2 to IrDA-Controller since that is exactly what it is. Thanks Wombat.

I need someone out there who has the version of the board with onboard graphics to tell me how exactly how the board acts with an add in video card. Does it shut off the onboard graphics once the new add in video card is inserted? Meaning, You don't have to turn the onboard graphics off in bios?

I'm going to throughly check the bios out and rip it apart over the next two weeks and test during that time. I'm sure there is more than I havn't seen under the surface yet. Anyone with idea's let me know. Thanks and Kudos!

Which board are you using Wombat? I did notice in the bios 7.4 there is room for 2 drives on that channel if I remember correctly. I could be wrong though. Does serial ATA use only one IRQ for both of it's channels?
