| Now, when you "manually" update your nForce RAID device, do you also need to update the nForce Sata Controller device too, or does it do that automatically once you update the RAID device? |

It depends on your chipset.
NForce chipsets, which don't need a SATA_IDE folder (the nForce IDE driver installation is managed just by the NVRD32/64.INF file), probably will do it automaticly,when you have loaded and installed the SATARAID drivers.
Nevertheless I recommend for all users with an nForce SataRaid system to manually update all nForce RAID and S-ATA devices manually. Only this way you can be sure, that all nForce S-ATA and RAID devices will get the same nForce IDE driver version. |
