m2n sli deluxe with X4 940 Deneb

Good Morning to all, I did not realize how long it has been since I have been here, well I'm back.

I have a asus m2n sli-deluxe MB running a Athlon 64 x2 I would like to replace the cpu with with the X4 Deneb, I am running Bios Revision 1701, I get the opinion that this makes it a AM2+ witch I belive will run on the MB, Asus appears to be no help and sends me in a circle. I did a quick search on the forums hear and thro the info is there I am sure,it is not slaping me in the face.
I am hoping some one will point me to an answer as I would like to upgrade. Do I need to replace this MB?

I have an m2n sli deluxe , Im writing this with an X4 940 Deneb ....
It works !!
It shows as "unknow processor model"
Sometimes you have to press restart to turn on the computer (Fail the cold boot) .... not too frequently but sometimes happens (it depends too on how much you o/c the processor)
you need to upgrade to the last bios.
Search Asus forum .... there are some treads explaing all and lots of info about that board/processor

Thank you I just read this and then grabbed one from newegg. hey I have 1701 bios Is there a newer one? What bios are you running? do you know of any modded one that are stable? thanks

I use 1701
Is very stable for me
I own it about a month ago and the computer is rock solid

Looks like it will come on Monday, from the egg, thanks again for the info.

It is coming on Wednesday, it appears the 1st was lost or something, got email saying problems in shipping, ups now shows it in transit and due on wen.(tomorrow)
