That's what I'm thinking. I could afford it now if I had too.. but I hate wasting money, done that enough lately.

Now that's an idea.. I'm kind of out of the loop on them.. whats the best one? price vs. performance and all that?

edit: been reading the SSD thread. I guess I could get away with using a at least a 60gb. Right now my OS drive (raid-0 array) is using 33gb, has all my programs and gta 4 on it. The rest of my games and data are on my 500gb drive, but it would be nice to have room to move some of those to the SSD. Seriously thinking about this one and open for suggestions.

No point in RAID 0 with an SSD as they are generally 'RAID'ed internally anyway, you'll only vaguely improve synthetic benchmarks, but you'll add latency, lose Trim support, and lose reliability.

RAID 0 is horrible anyway, should be banned... :)

Ok good to know. I don't care much for raid either since I lost all my stuff once, but here I am using it again with a good backup strategy this time. 80gb it is then.

Last night I ordered a Sapphire 5850 and a Xigametek HDT-1283 to replace my crappy Arctic Freezer 7. Figure once I get the video card in I'll be able to decide better if I still want a quad for the couple of games that I have installed that will take advantage of it.

Well i got my 5850 and it was a tight fit in my old case. So, I went to Microcenter and picked up a Cooler Master Haf-922. And while I was there, I happened to see they had q9550's on sale for $179.. too good of a deal to pass up so I grabbed one. Even with the q9550 at stock this card sure blows my 8800gt away. No regrets. :)

I still want to get an SSD but it's going to have to wait a few weeks.
