Warning: Beware of all nForce drivers for IDE/RAID from 5.33-5.35 These are only for INTEL I did get them to wrk but after a certain instance BLUE screen with no words then it turned of my RAID array in HArdware making the computer CRASH to the mentioned Blue screen.

There for INTEL Ive tested these for WEEKS and this is my conclusion. :)

I've been running both drivers since day 1 and they are running fine. Burnt 30 CDs, moved approx. 50GBs between partitions and RARed 3GB (no CRC errors) without any probs.
Maybe they have probs with NF4 AMD but on my NF2 setup they just work ;)

Nope, they work fine with both my nf4 and nf2. 5.35 64bit and 5.35 32bit respectively.

So I guess my point;
http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/nforce3 ... highlight=
has been made......

Yeah....there is always some clown that puffs up his chest, and comes up with a mish-mash "modded" driver. But as you can see, immediately people have problems, or at the very least, still can't use part of the driver, or it will work if you put this from this version with that from that version. Come on. My point was, ans still is, how about a normal 32 bit driver for, say, the nforce3????? Yes, we can take portions of others and possibly make them work, but why do we have to do that????? It's really great that someone's level of importance is based on a patched driver that they come out with (maybe even with their name on it ooooo!!!!) but that is just lame.
I would much rather have a driver that is meant to be on my machine.

Hehe. Yeh, I kinda agree with that sentiment, but unfortunatley Nvidia leave us with not alot of choice as far as NF3 drivers updates go. From a company with so much money, I expect a damn sight more. The point of the modded drivers is to try and combine all possible drivers into one pack. Andy R does a pretty good job with his NF2 ones. Anyway, for those doing music, I did this for a couple of KN8S Ultra's and they both work perfectly. I shan't be updating the drivers ever again! This should apply for most users.

Makes sure there are no PCI cards in the machine when doing a fresh
install of windows. Only the AGP video card.

Install windows sp2.
install marvell nic driver only from driver cd.

Download newest @BIOS flash utility and newest BIOS for bios for MB and
flash BIOS.
http://asia.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/F ... _@bios.exe
http://america.giga-byte.com/MotherBoar ... 939_f6.exe

Install ALL windows xp sp2 updates (use custom update not express).
Install any hardware updates listed on Windows Update.

Install Newest N-Vidia motherboard chipsets drivers.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_5.10

Install newest video card drivers.

Install Windows SP2 FW800 patch.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222/en-us

Install any audio and Midi devices.

Install your main recording software

Install any DSP PCI cards, i.e., UAD, TC POwercore.

If NV was as strict with their OEMs on motherboards as they are on graphics, then it'd be easier to make drivers. They can't be, though, because then OEMs would just use VIA or SiS, who give them the freedom they currently have from NV.
But also there's the fact that whereas graphics is just graphics, the motherboard is IDE, networking, GART, audio, and all that, and not only coding and testing for that but testing for third party stuff needs to be done, to find where certain PCI or AGP cards will need a workaround to function correctly. (For example, the previous problem with a professional audio card where it made errors on the nforce2s IDE chain, firewire, and audio, just by installing their drivers.)
Then you have to consider the driver stack for Windows is about ten years old. It definately has its problems, which all add up to it being very hard to code. It's in the process of being replaced, but I don't think the replacement (which will work on 2000 and XP) will be finished until Longhorn is about out.

So, in short, I think you're underestimating the work they DO do for you.

(and more)
If you want more technical info on the driver stack thing, http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/wdf/wdf-intro.mspx is a good start.

Take the 7.13 and look in the PATARAID folder. There's nf3 SATA support in there.

@ Unbreakable

Hello there, still running fine on your suggestions, but wondered if the new official release from Nvidia changes anything?
