The 15.17 nForce package available right now (June 13th) is NOT the same package that was available on June 11th, atleast not for Vista. I downloaded the Vista packages on June 11th and again today, the file sizes are different, so something has been changed about them...
For example, the Vistax64 package I downloaded on the 11th was 57.2 mb, the one available now is 55.7 mb.
nVidia must have made some changes to them....? |

I bet it's the IDECOI.DLL file they added to the IDE subfolders of the Vista packs (look here), but I doubt, that it makes any sense to add a co-installer file without changing the associated INF file entries. The file will not even be transfered into your OS, if you install the driver. |

Can I use them for my nforce4 since I live in the UK nVidia used to have a note saying use drivers with correct language I have my system to set to UK English.
Probably the most stupid question you've all read but wanted to make sure I could be loosing out on performance here the Uk English is still 6.86 and have never been updated since 2006. |

Choose the english (US) version and you will get the international version (that is NVIDIA ). |

Yes I just did that and I thought that was strange now I need some more help
Before installing the 15.17 I removed the 6.86 package including the Audio drivers
I rebooted >> installed 15.17 package >> I installed everything except for firewall or whatever is ask to install >> restart PC everything installs correctly and ask for a reboot do that again >> now audio drivers are missing I had to re-run the 6.86 package and install audio drivers and nvmixer only and that has worked.
Why don't the new 15.17's come with audio drivers. |

You should ask NVIDIA, not us.
NVIDIA doesn't offer any AC'97 chip Audio drivers anymore, because the chips are from Realtek.
My tip: Take the Realtek AC'97 chip audio driver. They are newer and probably better than the nForce Audio driver of the 6.86 package.
