Apple and NVIDIA: MacBooks with GeForce chipsets are nearly here :-

Here's an interesting proposition/prediction..., the PC as a gaming platform 'dies a slow death' due to excessive DRM, and eventually gets replaced by the Nvidia Mac...?

Nah. It gets replaced by a PC-like Advanced Micro Device. |

Apple advises use of Mac anti-virus
A recent spate of rather ineffective viruses for Apple's Mac OS X platform has the company worried enough to recommend anti-virus programs to its users – a volte-face for many Mac fans.
According to ITWire's Stephen Withers, Apple has quietly been updating its knowledge base with an entry which “encourages the widespread use of multiple antivirus utilities so that virus programmers have more than one application to circumvent, thus making the whole virus writing process more difficult.” |

Indeed, the more popular an OS becomes, the more it will get attacked...
So in that respect, I'm happy that Linux still clings to a comparatively measly desktop market share...
'Nix in general is a very robust kernel though, if virus writers want to get tough, then they would be in for a tough fight... |
