NVIDIA has just released "new" official nForce chipset driver packs v15.18 for Windows XP (32/64bit) and Vista (32/64bit). Look here.

These packs are designed for nForce 430/420/410/405/400 and nForce 630i/630a chipsets with integrated graphics adapter.

They now additionally contain the GeForce Driver v175.16, but all included nForce drivers (IDE, Ethernet, SMU and SMBus) seem to be exactly the same as those of the 15.17 packages.

So my first thought, that NVIDIA has released really new packs with updated nForce drivers, which now can be used even by nForce4 RAID users, obviously was wrong.

Well it looks likenVidia has yanked the 15.17 driver package from their site. Perhaps we will get an updated/fixed version.....perhaps they won't even bother trying to make a UDA driver again.

yes they removed it from nvidia.com, just when I removed 15.17 also yesterday after spending hours trying to install nforce drivers correctly, finally I installed fernando's "Special WHQL Performance Packs" on my vista x64. Had to manually install drivers as with the installer drivers files version were mixed up. Wanted to say thanks to Fernando for his packs, you make a better job than nvidia , that's awesome !

Please let me know, what exactly happened. Since all included drivers are WHQL, the installer should do the update automaticly. Should I take another installer?

Thank you for your feedback. It's fine to get it, because I have a lot of work to keep the packs up-to-date.

I'd also like to say thanks, Fernando.

I decided to remove the 15.17 drivers to avoid any potential problems (I was using it semi-successfully with 2 x RAID-1s and hadn't experienced the critical errors some users had with their RAIDs.) I was getting a lot of strange BSODs (as I mentioned on the Nvidia forum) and some weird event messages in the eventlog.

I installed your WHQL pack and then your Performance SATA & RAID drivers.

One thing I noticed is that when using the 15.17 drivers I had an option to do a SMART self-test on my drives (it was a new option, in the same general area in the Control Panel as Migrate Array, etc.)

Was that a function of the 10.x SATA/RAID drivers? Or the 10.x Media Shield?

In any event, thanks for your efforts.

I'll try to remember exactly, so I think I already had whql drivers 10.3.0.21 installed correctly, but when I used nvidia uninstaller to remove these ones, they were still in use, so I manually removed in device manager. Then I think I tried some of the drivers update provided by windows update .. until my vista x64 sp1 would not boot anymore...

After using the vista dvd to restore my setup, I finally decided to install one of your fines packs since previously I was using your v1.8b whql pack and it was working perfectly (also I got a blue screen at boot with 1.8 performance pack). But I think I made a mistake trying to install first "NF4 RAID WHQL Driverpacks", so I went back, and finally installed the"Special WHQL Performance Packs". Then when I checked my peripherals in device manager , I noticed that the installed drivers files were mixed between v9.99.09 and another version (9.98 maybe but I'm not sure).

I'd like also to say that my motherboard is Asus P5N32-E Sli Plus, which is kinda a particular mobo, "nforce 680i-sli-hybrid" a mix between 650i and 590i...

@ morgul:

Thank you very much for your reply with some further informations. Maybe you got the driver version mix-up, because you have done a lot of driver updates prior to the last one (without checking each time the result?).
