what is the best driver pack to use for this combo?
I'm not running anything special like raid. Using sp1 as well.

NVIDIA does not offer any Vista nForce chipset driver pack for nForce3 chipset mainboards.
Nevertheless you may get Vista x64 installed with the Vista built-in nForce drivers. |

AdvDevMod would be guru here..
There's a lot of even newest drivers you can use on installation & you should integrate and remove with vlite for sure. know that nforce 2 even can pull this off. |

Do you know which specific drivers are the best?
Good to hear that the regular drivers that come with vista x64 work though. |

Those drivers coming with Vista itself are really good to consider. The Sata controller is fast & it even includes S.M.A.R.T. (which none other do). So if I were you stick with that. About Network controller (I HAVEN'T tested this), but if you can use/get installed the v67.80 (even with modded infs, if required) that would be best choise to stabilize the MS SATA driver. and SMBus newest version I think works still with all nforce 1-3 sets.
So, there's best I can understand. Don't have any chipsets here to test so that part you have to experiment yourself. if you give us the inf HardwareIDs if they would be missing from inf's I can try to mod newer drivers for you unless they work straight. |

Don't honestly know idea would be that you cannot install v67.80 without your hardware IDs. it won't connect or function, but adding those IDs there perhaps. I do not know what IDs you got on network controller so cannot help you there unless you check them on device manager.
(and even if the IDs are added it could be that it simply won't work because of new additions.)

Well, why is suggest this or well advice which NIC to use with the Sata is simply because the nvidia sata is dependable about how nic works. That means that bad nic combined with good s-ata driver = bad performance and so on.. If your NIC is working fine of course test that first. |
